Sure, you can picnic anywhere. But here you can dine in a picnic shelter within a stone’s throw of whitewater rapids. Or you can spread your fare on a table in the woods overlooking beautiful Quemahoning Lake. With good facilities in convenient locations surrounded by nature’s beauty and aquatic ambiance, in The Stonycreek Corridor you can have it all on your next picnic!
Greenhouse Park sits along the Stonycreek River just a handful of miles south of Johnstown on PA Route 403. For kayakers, canoers, swimmers, body surfers and tubing enthusiasts, Whitewater Park is in the adjacent section of the Stony. Enthusiasts can play in hydraulics, then enjoy a picnic afterward. For others this is a great place to enjoy nature and observe the parks’ activity. Pavilions and Greenhouse Park itself are available for rent by groups.
