Directions:

Take the PA 160/21st Street exit off PA 56, turn left onto Graham Avenue, then right onto 15th Street.

TThe Windber Area Museum is situated in the house of David Shaffer, upon whose farm the community of Windber was developed. The museum has early-20th century furnishings and fixtures. Special rooms feature artifacts of coal-miners and Windber Hospital. Other artifacts include women's and children's clothing and military uniforms. The museum is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, and the rest of the year by appointment.
